Wile 55 - Moisture meter for cereals

It is a practical and accurate testing tool, essential for cereal farmers (Maize, Rice, Wheat, Soya, Barley, Rye, Rye, Beans, Millet, Cotton).

Accuracy

Wile moisture meters have been confirmed by numerous studies worldwide as one of the most accurate portable grain moisture meters on the market. The instrument's accuracy is based on the basic, robust design that has been improved over years of continuous development thanks to in-depth knowledge of grain moisture measurement in many different areas around the world. Wile's method of analysis is based on the measurement of an alternating frequency of current applied through the sample. The instrument converts the value of this measurement into a moisture value by means of scales or calibration tables that are programmed into the meter's memory. Each type of grain product has its own characteristics. This means that each product has its own scale. To obtain the best accuracy at the highest level of repeatability the grain sample must be normalised. Wile meters uniformly compress the grain sample to eliminate differences. This makes the measurement result accurate.

Multifunctional

The Wile 55 is capable of measuring 16 different types of grain or seed that are stored in memory. The Wile moisture meter also has a basic measuring scale that provides a universal measure of value. This scale is primarily used to calibrate the equipment and can also be used to measure any new product that is not pre-programmed into the 16 product types in the memory. Conversion tables are therefore available for many more grain types.

Easy to use

Wile 55 is simple. After correctly choosing the type of grain, simply press a button. On the display it is easy to read the results, even in low light conditions. The meter provides a quick reference guide that is located on a label on the display side.

Adjustable Correction

All Wile moisture meters are individually calibrated under controlled temperature before leaving the factory. Over the years, due to extreme rain and storm conditions the grain quality can differ substantially from the reference grain. In these cases, a correction can be made to adjust the results with a reference sample. The correction is temporary and independent for each grain and does not affect the basic scale programmed in the meter's memory.

Automatic Temperature Compensation

The Wile 55 has two temperature sensors, one on the electronic circuit board and one in the grain measuring hopper. These sensors compensate for temperature differences between the sample and the same meter automatically corrects the result for the moisture input. This feature guarantees the best moisture measurements and grain accuracy.

Types of Grains that can be measured

Wile 55 is built in memory of the most common grain types and is specifically programmed to assume differences in varieties from each region. In addition to the pre-programmed grain types, Wile 55 can measure a wide variety of grains.
